Total Beauty & more?

Tashina blogged about Total, and I’m hooked. You can win prizes, but I’ve just been having fun reviewing and looking up new products. It’s a really fun site, and has some great beauty tips, product reviews, and blogs too!

I saw the most amazing movie today on Lifetime. It was called Engaged to Kill. Now, I know some people think Lifetime is a pile of television poo, but I absolutely love this channel. This movie kept me awake and riveted and that was with a warm fuzzy cat and a quilt on top of me. For some reason rainy days + a cold + lifetime + my cat = happiness. Add in some Wavy Lays and I’m good to go. I’ve been focusing on getting well and resting so I can have some fun tomorrow at the party tomorrow.

Remind me to bring my camera since I often fail at that. <333 Have a great weekend everybody!

Egg Mask

I totally did an Egg White Mask about 2 hours ago and my skin feels like a baby’s butt, haha. My friend Kathleen told me to try it out, so we did it after class today. It felt like I had Botox shots in my face when I was waiting for it to dry, and then I washed it off and washed my face with my cleanser. My face still feels tingly and clean. My face still burns a little bit, haha. I really liked how it felt, but I don’t think it’s something I’d do every day. Has anyone else tried this?

Tomorrow night is my last class of the week, and then Thursday I’m off to NYC, and Christine’s 21st weekend commences. Let the chaos begin!

Courtesy of Men’s Health. It feels good to know one of my favorite junk foods is #1 on the worst foods in America. As a typically healthy person, I have my vices, don’t you? Don’t deny it, haha.

Thanks Tashina!!

Tashina has inspired me to write a little something that’s been on my mind and oddly enough I did an impromptu speech on for my Communication class. =] Diets, being overweight, and quick fixes.

As you all know from my health/fitness section of my website I’ve been losing weight for over a year now. For those of you who want to lose weight, or are working on it presently, it’s a lifestyle change, not a quick fix. I honestly think Tashina said it best in her blog, so I suggest you read it.

It breaks my heart to see so many girls starving themselves, purging food, doing insane fasts and colon cleanses as well as abusing laxatives. I was one of those girls who once fell for fad diets, but I’ve learned from my mistakes.

Finding your happy, healthy weight is so much more than the number on the scale. I weight 132 pounds and wear a size 6 in jeans, and I fully believe this is the weight I was meant to maintain (give or take 5 pounds). I look great, I feel amazing, and I’ve opened a window of so many healthy food options and choices. I’m constantly learning more tips and tricks every day and I wanted to take the time to tell all of you guys: if you’re trying to lose weight, working on it, or thinking negatively about your body and you feel alone, I want you to know that you can e-mail or I.M me any time. I know first hand what it’s like to feel that way, but if you work through the difficult challenges you can come out on top and feeling great.

If you need tips check out Tashina‘s website because she inspired me to write this as well as has some amazing recipes!

New York City & A BIG SURPRISE!

Saturday was our NYC trip and it was absolutely amazing. Keith had never been before, so for our Christmas gift my parents took us to see “Phantom of the Opera” and to Carmine’s for dinner. The day was perfect, and everything was amazing. The city is beautiful and I would love to live there one day even if it’s only for a little while. I’ve been there many times before, but this time was my favorite. When we got into Grand Central Terminal they were doing a Christmas light show. It was really beautiful to see. The play was amazing as usual, and dinner was great. Dinner was even better because of this:

Before dessert my Dad all of a sudden kept asking my Mom if she had to go to the bathroom and she kept saying no and looking at him like wtf? So, he says it again more sternly and she goes, “oh yeah I do. Chris come with me.” So I say, “I don’t have to go.” I ended up going with her anyway and we’re in the bathroom and she’s taking her sweet time. I was totally confused as to why my Mom wanted me to come with her. So, we finish up in the bathroom and we go back to the table for dessert and a little blue box is sitting on my dessert plate. I look closer and sit down and I see it’s FROM TIFFANY!! I open the box and inside is my Christmas gift from Keith. A delicate two heart necklace from Tiffany. It’s absolutely beautiful, and I grabbed him and cried. The tables next to us were smiling at us, and it was just amazing. A perfect day ended with a perfect surprise. I am so blessed and thankful for Keith. He is an amazing boyfriend and I love him.
