I’ve been doing webdesign for a long time now. I started with crappy page builder sites when I was in 5th grade, and slowly got better at html, and was hosted at a few sites. In November of 2003, my parents bought me my first domain, RAINBOW-SOCKS.ORG as an early Christmas present. I had that domain until August of 2006, when I decided to move to CURLS.NU my new home! The move was hard for me to make because my old domain has so many memories, but it was time for a change. R-S is the old Christine from highschool, and Curls is more mature, and I’ve grown a lot since my old domain.

PAST LAYOUTS

I thought it would be fun to archive the past layouts here. Just click on the link and the layout screenshot will open in a brand new page.

Layout 1 – Fall Out Boy – This was the very first layout on curls.nu. It kind of sucks because I was still learning and working out kinks for my new website. On my old domain I never used WordPress.

Layout 2 – 3 Columns – This was a simple 3 column theme I got from the Codex. I basically just changed the colors around. This is Christine being lazy, but I still loved it.

Layout 3 – Keith! – A reincarnation from my old domain with a WordPress twist. These photos were taken by me one night. It features my boyfriend carving a heart into a tree for me. This will always be one of my favorites!

Layout 4 – Summer Collage – This layout pairs bright summery colors in the form of a collage. Shakespeare, Dazed & Confused, and some of my favorite pictures are featured in this layout. One of my favorites and one of my busiest so far on this site!

Layout 5 – Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil – Yet another layout featuring me. Keith got me into the little monkeys and I thought why not make a layout of them? Cool? I think so! Another personal favorite. I had a hard time letting this one go, haha.

Layout 6 – Christmas Time – I caved into peer pressure and made a Christmas layout that stayed up until January 8th, haha. I was planning on leaving it up until February like people do with normal decorations, but it was time for something new. Images are from Jupiter.

Layout 7 – Gemma Ward – This layout features Gemma Ward, one of my favorite models. This photoshoot was absolutely amazing, and the images I used can be found on Foto Decadent on LiveJournal.

Layout 8 – Across The Universe – An amazing movie, and one of my favorites. If you haven’t seen it then please rent it because you’ll fall in love. This layout was a quickie featuring a screen cap from the movie. The image was found in a simple google search.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Twenty years ago, approximately in September my parents got a little frisky. Now that I think about it, it was probably the night of their anniversary. Either way, nine months later I was born on May 2nd 1987. A miracle baby, and only child. I’ve always been close with my family and friends, and I have a huge family. I’m Italian and Greek so not only do we look good, but we cook good too.

I love to read, write, and I love all types of music which comes in handy because my boyfriend and I are DJ’s at our college’s radio station. I’m currently attending Southern Connecticut State University and I’m a junior. I’ve always loved school. In fact I love school so much that I’m going to be spending the rest of my life there teaching students. That’s dedication if you ask me.

Keith is my amazing boyfriend of over 4 years. We used to hate each other, but after a while we smartened up and started dating. I love him dearly, and he is not only my boyfriend but my best friend as well. We know everything about each other. Of course, we have had some problems, but true love conquers all, and we’re living proof of that.

Health and Fitness are a major part of my life. I love working out, and I love eating healthy. Going to the gym is one of my favorite past times because it’s a stress reliever for me, and trust me, I’m as Type-A as you can get. One of my favorite foods is pizza, after all you have to treat yourself sometime.

Religion plays a big role in my life. I was raised and am still a practicing Roman Catholic. I have a strong belief in God, and although sometimes I may complain I really do enjoy going to church every Saturday night with my Mom. Praying and meditating on the day’s events at night is a nice way to bring closure to the day for me. I’m not going to say that the Catholic church is perfect because it is far from it. Even though I have a lot of faith in God, I am pro-choice, and believe that gay marriage should be legal. I believe that God loves all of us no matter what life paths we decide to take because He created us.

I collect makeup, among other things. And by collect makeup, I mean just that. I rarely ever wear it unless I’m going out or feeling particularly energetic. I love M.A.C., Sephora, and LUSH Cosmetics. As for my hair, that’s another story. My hair is one of my favorite features and I’m obsessed with it. I also have a love for fashion: layering, sweaters, hoodies, everything. I love to shop! I’m a feminist who can hold her own in a debate, and a girl who loves to cuddle on cold nights with her boyfriend.

I’m a major tea-head. I love the beach, and the fall. Halloween is amazing, and Christmas is too. Holidays are my favorite time of the year because I love spending time with family and friends.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

John Lennon made that proclamation and I couldn’t agree with him more. There’s something about being with the one you love that makes everything horrible in the world disappear. The feeling of butterflies in your stomach every time you kiss that one person you love. It’s an amazing thing, and I wouldn’t give it up for the world.

Keith and I have been dating since June 6, 2003. Oddly enough, we used to hate each other. We knew the other one existed since middle school, and the sarcasm and name calling stemmed from that point on. For a while, we used to talk online on early Sunday mornings when no one else was online. It was weird. We’d talk online but not really in school.

Eventually, we began talking more frequently, and I even made him skip class for the first time with me before we started dating. Funny what love does to you isn’t it?

Soon afterwards we began dating. Keith asked me out at the Space, which is one of our favorite arts and music clubs to go to together. It’s been over four years, and I couldn’t be happier.

We’ve had bad times that we’ve worked through, and we’ve had the most amazing times which I still remember to this day and always will. We’ve shared family vacations together. Every day is a new adventure together, and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing and caring best friend.
