Wow, it’s an amazing feeling to know that I’ve accomplished something so awesome in such a short amount of time. As you can see from the sidebar badge, I’m a NaNoWriMo winner! That would be the reason why I haven’t blogged in a while. The process was truly challenging, writing 50,000 words in less than 30 days since I was a late starter but I finished and am hoping to go to Kinko’s or Staples some time in the near future to print out my rough first draft. Keith has requested that his copy of my novel be printed on red paper.
It’s a Young Adult novel, but I think it has potential. December is the month for editing so we’ll see how everything goes. Now on to writing a Critical Essay on Frederick Douglass’ lost manhood (lmao!). School’s starting to wind down, but I have a ton of final projects that I’m working on.

more on flickr!!
And in other news, I got my hair cut and dyed it a dark chocolate brown as my red was starting to get way too light for my liking. It’s so fun to have straight hair sometimes! I just wish I had the patience to blow dry it more often. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Enjoy it! <3

Ah straightening your hair can be such a chore. Mine takes about twenty mins to do, it’s just oh so long.
Congrats on the win.

Congrats on finishing your story. I hope that the editing of it goes just as well for you
Your hair looks great. I hate straightening my hair, as it takes so long, but the effort is usually worth it.

Congratulations on winning! That is totally awesome. I would definitely love to read what you have written. I’ve been trying to write a short story/novel/something beyond poetry myself, but I can’t seem to become inspired enough. So writing 50,000 words in 30 days is a major accomplishment, congratulations once again!
Hope that you have a happy thanksgiving!

I know a couple people that participated in NaNoWriMo. I’m not sure if I’d have the time to participate. I would love to next year though.
Congrats on the win as well.

Congrats on finishing! That’s really awesome!
I’m getting my hair cut tomorrow, but not dyed. I can never remember to keep dying it and I get bad roots!

Yay, finishing NaNoWriMo is quite an accomplishment!
Your hair looks good.

Yay! Good for you! I have done Nanowrimo before- I did not succeed in finishing this year but I have finished in years past. It is a lot of hard work and takes a lot of discipline! You rock!
(and on a different note, I love the new haircut! I’m like you- I do not have the patience to blow dry my hair. Besides, when I let it air-dry, my hair gets these neat waves- almost like curls but not quite – and I like that. It’s a good excuse to be lazy!)

I LOVE your hair! You look totally different IMO. I’m a huge fan of the dark/straight look. That’s how mine is.

Spot on with this write-up, I truly think this website needs much more consideration. I’ll probably be again to read much more, thanks for that info.
