As of 9:20 this morning I am officially 23 years old! Another year older, and another year wiser? What do you think? I’m actually very excited because we’re having a small gathering at my house. Just my parents and Keith and my Aunt and Uncle. It’s nice to have a small, calm party. Last night was my “going out” night with Keith and Paul. It was originally going to be a big thing, but since we planned it so last minute it was pretty small and relaxing which I preferred. =] Nothing like drinking Coronas and watching some good and funny TV with good people.
Today we’ll be having a nice dinner and dessert. I’m super excited because we’re having all of my favorites. Penne pasta with my Momma’s amazing sauce, my Dad’s famous chicken, and artichokes and Italian bread. We’re also having a salad served in a bowl I made last semester in my ceramics class. I love having my functional art on the table. My Aunt is making my cake (white with white frosting–my favorite). I opened my presents this morning and got my present from Keith last night. I was surprised and very grateful for all of my gifts from my family. I love them!

My birthday balloons from my parents. So cute!

There's even a cupcake balloon!
As you guys know, I love balloons. Last night I saw these in my room! I especially love the butterfly and cupcake one. Totally cute, and such a sweet surprise.

Cards from my Mom and Dad!

Cat power book and CD!

Pandora bracelet with charms.
My parents also got me a book called “Cat Power” that comes with songs. I loved it when I saw it in the bookstore, and forgot about it. But my parents surprised me with it. The cat paintings inside the book are amazing. My parents also got me a Pandora charm bracelet with some charms to start me off. I now have an angel, a peace sign, an emerald, a cat, an angel, a heart and a may birthday charm. I have always wanted a Pandora bracelet. I am so excited to finally have one. My Mom also got me a new Southern hoodie. =]

I'll never run out of paper!

Fancy copy paper!
Last but not least, I have a copy machine at my house now since I’ve been making so many copies for teaching. The ones at school are sometimes out of service, and it’s a FORTUNE to go to Staples. So to go with my copy machine Keith got me a huge box of paper as well as colored copy paper in all of my favorite shades. Guess who is getting a hot pink test soon? You guessed it…my students! I absolutely love office supplies, and I’ll be prepared for all of the copies I have to make for a while now.
So far, my birthday has been amazing. I am so blessed to have such loving, and generous family, friends, and a Keith. =]
On a completely unrelated note, I am in love with Pond’s Cold Cream. My face has been so dry (even my beloved MAC Studio Fix isn’t doing the job), so I’ve been using this for the past few days. I attribute it to the dry air in the high school, the crazy wind we had, and the change in weather.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! OMG, this is too funny! 1st – I have 2 of those balloons from my birthday last month that my friends got me.. and 2 – today is Ryan’s birthday!
Crazy all those coincidences! I hope you had a fantastic special day.

I totally wish you were my teacher & that I got hot pink quizzes!
I’m an office supply addict as well. There should be therapy groups for people like us!

I am a few days late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY girlie!! I got your comment, and you sound just like me (coffee in one hand, cig in the other LOL). Yes it was a Wednesday night actually! I have class from 5-7:30 in Engleman. What time does you class end? Shoot me an email when you get this, Jennifer914@gmail.com. I go straight to school from work so it would be hard for me to meet up before class because I usually don’t get there until 4:30/4:45, but if I see you tonight I will say hi!
Have a great one!

I’m a little late, but happy birthday! It sounds like you had a really good one. I find the smaller ones to be more fun, too… and relaxing!

First off, I’d like to wish you a very happy belated Birthday! *^^* I find it interesting the way so many of my friends and family members have celebrated their birthdays these last few weeks, haha … It’s like everyone I know was all born at the exact same time. XD;
And awww, I like how your family and friends got you exactly the sort of stuff you wanted and needed! Sometimes it seems like when I get gifts, they’re just sort of whatever, y’know? Not much thought put into ‘em. But then saying that just makes me sound petty and greedy … So perhaps I should shut up now. o_o;
Glad you had an awesome day, and once again, happy belated Birthday! *^^*

Sounds like your birthday was a lot of fun! The cat book looks really cute! And your bracelet is very cute! After seeing so many cute charms on ebay (and yours) it kind of makes me want one.
I love balloons too, but i wish they would stay inflated longer! but maybe that’s the charm… they uninflate… so you always have to get new ones!

Happy belated birthday babe! Sorry I haven’t had much time to do blog-hopping the last couple days. I hope you had a good one and man, all that food sounds DELICIOUS!

Happy very belated birthday, Christine! Sounds like you must have had a lovely day – I often think small celebrations with just the few people you care about most are better than big parties that (for me at least) just tend to be stressful.
Those balloons are awesome, btw! I love the cupcake one with the little flame especially – so cute! And lol at your students getting hot pink test papers, hehe.

Looks like you had a great day.

Happy Birthday! I love that bracelet. Making copies for all those students most get super expensive-with ink and all, that really is something the school should cover. What do the other teachers do when the copiers broken ?
) has multiple copiers…maybe that High School does too.
My school (I’m a sophomore…you know whats weird…I’m younger then the students your teaching
