Fashion Meme!

I usually don’t do these, but since I’m jotting down ideas for upcoming blogs, and being insanely busy with school (Wuthering Heights has eaten part of my soul), I figured this would be a fun one. Anyone who wants to do it, please feel free. <3

Name an item of clothing that has been with you the longest:
An extremely large grey Hurley hoodie from California. I was going into my freshman year of high school and I HAD to have Hurley hoodie. My Mom, Dad, and I went everywhere in California looking for it, and we finally found one in Monterey. I still wear it all the time, to sleep, to the gym, just bumming around the house. It’s perfectly broken in and cozy!

What’s an article of clothing that you can’t live without (BESIDES jeans, people)?
Sweatpants, because I am a scrub. Victoria’s Secret Boyfriend Sweats to be exact.

Describe your perfect winter & summer footwear:
For winter, my black Classic Tall Uggs. They’re warm, they wear well, and I treat them and brush them so they’ll look great for winters to come. As for summer I wear my flip flops and Birkenstocks the most. Once April/May come along that’s all I wear unless I’m working.

What’s a good, ethical clothing brand you’d recommend?
I guess I’d have to say American Apparel. From what I’ve read on their website they don’t treat their workers poorly, and their prices are reasonable. And isn’t everything made in the US?

And what’s a brand you wouldn’t recommend?
I’m not sure about this one. There’s brands that are too expensive, too cheaply made, etc. I think it’s all about the individual.

What’s the ugliest trend of all time?
Bondage Pants!!! THEY ARE NOT FOR PEOPLE OVER THE AGE OF 15!

And the prettiest?
Chunky necklaces, with lots of embellishments. I love adding them to a simple top or dress. It really spices things up.

What colors predominate in your wardrobe?
Black and Grey, haha. I’m one of those basic color people.

What are your vintage shopping strategies (if you have them)?
Take Keith with me. He somehow manages to find the most amazing things at thrift stores.

What’s the most insane piece of clothing that you have ever owned?
UFO Pants, haha. I can still remember begging my Mom for them in high school. Apparently, we all thought we were ravers. I had a pair in bright red.

If you could describe the majority of the clothes you own in one word, what would it be?
Comfortable and slimming. Black is amazing for that!

  1. LOL at the UFO pants… and bondage pants. No, not even people below the age of 15 should be allowed to wear them. I love extremely large hoodies too!

  2. I have to say that I have never heard of UFO pants or bondage pants. I would love it if you described them for me. Perhaps I wasn’t born in the right decade for them? Sounds interesting though haha. I was all about the sweat pants and matching top when I was little. I won’t go near them now.

  3. ROFTLMAO @ UFO pants. What were we thinking?! lol.

I agree with comfortable and slimming clothes; I’m definitely not the type to wear uncomfortable clothes!

  4. Memes are fun, and it never fails to make us “reflect” on whatever aspect in our life. It’s funny that you used to have UFO pants! :p Back when I was in high school, elephant jeans were also the trend and good thing I didn’t go through that phase. Heh.

  5. This is a really cool meme, lol! I agree with you about the clothes you could not live without.

LOL at the bondage pants! I wasn’t sure what they were when I first read this, so I Googled them and LMFAO! Why are the legs tied together? o.O
