Connecticut Blizzard 2013 Photodump
Winter Storm Nemo killed the Northeast and dumped a ton of snow on my state. My town actually got the highest count for the whole storm totaling at 40 inches of snow. Way to go–we’re number one at something other than hockey finally! So, after being cooped up in the house for five days, I finally went back to work yesterday. But, because of President’s weekend, I won’t see my students again until the 20th. They’re pretty stoked, but I’m freaking out. There truly just isn’t enough time in the semester, but I digress. For those of you who never get to see snow, enjoy these photos of my house and street during and and after the clean up.

A view of our street throughout the storm.

And me after the clean-up. I’m really not that bulky. I just have two pairs of pants on and two coats.
So, now to return back to normalcy. My students and I have to make adjustments, and my little ones at my evening teaching job will be having a Valentine’s party in March. Who says heart shaped cupcakes are only for February?

February 15, 2013 at 2:00 am (97 days ago)I’m so insanely jealous of everyone who gets to experience snow at their homes but I think I would go insane if I was stuck at home for that long haha. Hope it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience!

February 16, 2013 at 5:14 am (96 days ago)I always enjoyed when I got school days off because of the weather, but I hated having to make up said weather days and/or having to work twice or three time as hard just to catch up!
That much snow looks like it would be a pain, to be honest.

February 17, 2013 at 2:20 am (95 days ago)It’s great you made it through the storm safely.
I experienced my full of snow this winter when it uncharacteristically froze over for two weeks here in Idaho. I’m ready for springtime. ^_^
I know what you mean about the semester going by too fast. Mine is ending next week and I wish I had at least one more to go on.

February 17, 2013 at 6:09 pm (95 days ago)Wow, 40 inches of snow is extreme! Especially for me since I live in LA. It’s crazy how your car got buried under all of that snow. You sure are a really cool teacher considering how you get the job done with teaching and have room for a party- especially a “delayed” one instead of cancelling it
. Regardless, you don’t look bulky at all.
Take care
