Almost 2009…
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. I had a great time celebrating with family and friends, and received some amazing gifts. Keith gave me a PINK NINTENDO DS LITE<3, and my Mom and Dad gave my the Train Case I wanted for my makeup as well as clothes, money, and tons of other amazing stocking stuffers. Check out my flickr for the pictures! My parents were so generous, and I appreciate all of their gifts so much.
I can’t believe it’s already almost January. It seems like I was just starting the semester in the Fall and wondering when I was going to be on Christmas break. Anyone have any New Year’s resolutions? I’m usually not big on resolutions, due to the fact that 90% of people probably forget about them and never keep them. My last resolution was to lose weight, which I did, and to stop spitting my gum out of my car window and on the ground while walking. I’ve done pretty well with that one. Instead, I have some goals for the new year and things I’d like to do throughout 2009. Here they are in no particular order.
+ Lose my last 5-7 pounds, they’re sticking to me, haha.
+ Go to the shooting range, and get certified to own and operate a fire arm.
+ Look into buying said fire arm.
+ Buy a flickr pro account.
+ Make my DVD collection bigger.
+ Continue my healthy eating and work out routines.
+ Read some more books for fun, instead of being bogged down with school reading.
+ Get my third tattoo (hopefully within the next month, but before March?)
+ Write in my “real” journal more often.
+ Develop my makeup face charts, neaten up my drawings in sketchbook.
I hope all of you have a healthy, safe, and happy new year. And of course enjoy celebrating with family and friends. <3

WhitneyHappy New Year! I’m with you on wanting to loose weight…I’m starting to feel like a fatty! I’m gonna go check out your flickr right now.
CrystalI’m with ya on getting the flickr pro account. I didn’t think I’d use it so much and now it’s getting full. I’m adding you!
JenniferGood luck with your goals for 2009. I know what you mean about the reading one. The way I get in my own reading time is to read for half an hour before I go to sleep. I’m sure you will accomplish all of your goals. Have a great new year!
DeannaThose are some awesome goals! I’m going to try and lose 50 pounds by July 1st, but I’d be satisfied if I could do it before January 1st of next year.
Shaunahope you had a great new year!
chanelI got an awesome makeup set in a case for Christmas too… I LOVE makeup sets!
itsjustmeI know… I never actually do my resolutions. One time, I broke all 5 of them in the same day so I just gave up. Yours sound pretty good though
I also promised to write more in my real journal this year and so far, I’ve been doing a pretty good job with that. I hope to lose some weight too… We’ll see about that. Good luck to us and happy new year!
FelisaYou have great resolutions. I don’t really make resolutions anymore, because I never follow them, ugh. I hope you had a good new years
BellaI have two book recommendations for you:
#1. The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand
#2. Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer
Not sure if you’ve read these, but they are both excellent. Just finished The Fountainhead today.
